Scottish Whisky Festivals

Scottish whisky festivals are vibrant celebrations of one of the country’s most iconic traditions, bringing together distillers, whisky enthusiasts, and curious newcomers. Events like the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and the Islay Festival of Music and Malt showcase the diversity and craftsmanship of Scotch whisky in the regions where it is produced. Visitors can tour historic distilleries, meet master blenders, and sample rare or limited-edition drams that are often unavailable elsewhere. Whether you are an expert or a beginner, these events provide an engaging way to explore Scotland’s whisky culture.

We appreciate that you will want to take home some of the great whiskies you have sampled, and here at Deliver My Whisky, we can take care of that for you.

The Islay Whisky Festival

The Islay Whisky Festival, often called Fèis Ìle, is one of the most famous whisky events in the world, and the 2026 edition is set to be especially significant as it marks the festival’s 40th anniversary. Taking place on the island of Islay from 22nd to 31st May 2026, the festival runs for around ten days and attracts whisky enthusiasts from across the globe.

The festival celebrates not only whisky but also the culture and community of the island. Each day typically centres around a different distillery, such as Lagavulin, Laphroaig, or Ardbeg, which hosts “open days” featuring tastings, behind-the-scenes tours, and exclusive limited-edition bottlings. Visitors can also take part in masterclasses, food pairings, and special events organised by both distilleries and the festival committee.

The Speyside Whisky Festival

The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival 2026 is one of the largest and most celebrated whisky events in the world, taking place across the Speyside region of Scotland from 29 April to 4 May 2026. Over six days, the festival brings together whisky lovers from around the globe to explore the area that produces more than half of Scotland’s single malt whisky.

Rather than being held in a single venue, the festival is spread across more than 50 distilleries and local venues, creating a region-wide celebration. Visitors can take part in over 600 individual events, ranging from distillery tours and warehouse tastings to masterclasses and exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences that are not normally available to the public

The Campbeltown Whisky Festival

The Campbeltown Malts Festival 2026 is a distinctive and intimate celebration of Scotch whisky, held in the historic whisky town of Campbeltown on Scotland’s Kintyre peninsula. Taking place from 18th to 23rd May 2026, the festival runs for six days and focuses on the town’s rich distilling heritage.

Unlike larger whisky festivals, Campbeltown offers a more personal and immersive experience. There is no single venue; instead, events are hosted across the town’s distilleries, including Springbank, Glengyle, and Glen Scotia. Each distillery organises its own programme of tastings, tours, and open days, allowing visitors to create a flexible schedule tailored to their interests.

The festival features a wide range of activities, from warehouse tastings and farm tours to exclusive masterclasses and special dinners. Many events provide access to rare cask samples or limited-edition bottlings that are only available during the festival. In addition, highlights such as the opening festival dinner and distillery open days bring together whisky, food, and local storytelling.

We have a member of our team based in Campbeltown, and they will meet you to collect any bottles you would like to have shipped home.
